General Description:

The Community Moderator at Prodigy will be strongly involved in the site management of our flagship community portal. The right candidate will be passionate about communicating online, taking on a leadership role in building an active and fun online community, and moderating and acting on all information shared by users. As we become more familiar with your strengths and talents, your role at the company will adapt. This position is full-time, and reports to the Website Community Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Moderating all site content (photos, reviews, comments, etc.)

Suggesting and testing cool new site features

Writing and distributing a weekly email newsletter

Responding to any questions or concerns our users may have

Interacting with the online community

Being flexible – this is an ever-changing, dynamic role and will continue to develop as the site grows

The Right Candidate:

Has lived in the Asia-Pacific region for an extended period of time i.e. Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong

Has flawless written and spoken English

Is extremely well-written and - ideally - has professional writing experience

Communication junkie who loves to deal with people online

Mature, confident with a bubbly personality

The candidate clearly 'gets' the Web, and enjoys using it every day

Naturally has a take-charge and can-do attitude

Is a great communicator who can make other people want to follow them

Has demonstrated the ability to work independently and be self-motivated

Loves Shanghai and Intends to live here for 2+ years

Wants to commit to and grow with an exciting Internet company

Has a sense of humour

 

This position is ideally suited for someone with 1-2 yrs work experience, fluent English ability, and experience using community sites like MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Flickr, Hi5 and Orkut.
